Academic Passion among Middle School Students

The research aims to identify the level of academic passion among middle school students. To achieve this objective, a sample of 423 male and female students was selected randomly from secondary schools in Al Qadisiyah city. The researcher developed a scale of 30 items to measure academic passion as the research tool, which included five areas (self-efficacy, uncertain control, academic integration, academic anxiety, and the relationship between the teacher and the student) according to the theory of Marsh & Martin (2008). The results showed a decrease in the level of academic passion among middle school students. There were no significant differences between males and females in terms of academic passion. In light of this, the research came out with a set of recommendations and suggestions.
